Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jochen Deuse graduated in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) at the University of Dortmund, Germany. He received his Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, while working as a research fellow at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL). During his industry career, Jochen held senior management positions in the Bosch Group in Germany and Australia before joining TU Dortmund University, Germany, as Professor and Head of the Institute of Production Systems (IPS). Jochen holds a dual appointment with TU Dortmund and University of Technology Sydney where he is Professor for Advanced Manufacturing/ Industry 4.0 in the School of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering.
