CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Design and Development ofchallenge-based e-learning modules
This Call for Expression of Interest aims to identify eligible subjects interested in designing short, practice-oriented, challenge-based e-learning modules on AI for industrial operations and maintenance. Proposals shall privilege learning designs in which professionals and university students learn through action on meaningful real-life problems, not a repository of AI explanations, but credible learning experiences that help participants make better decisions with AI, while understanding its limits, risks, and responsibilities.
The deadline is next December 5, 2026.
New ESIEM Report on Knowledge Needs and Skills Gaps in Industrial Engineering and Management
The European School of Industrial Engineering and Management (ESIEM) has published a new report presenting the results of a European survey on knowledge needs and skills gaps in Industrial Engineering and Management (IE&M).
The survey, conducted by the ESIEM European Observatory, gathered perspectives from industry, university professors, and master’s students across Europe. The report examines the alignment between companies’ knowledge requirements and the competences offered by university master’s programmes, identifying current and emerging skills gaps. It also compares the findings with those of the 2020 IE3 Erasmus+ project.
The report was prepared by a working group of professors and students from the European Academy for Industrial Management (AIM) and the European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management (ESTIEM).
